PHAETON TECHNOLOGY UPDATE — JANUARY 2022

Hello Phaeton Community

We want to share additional provisional updates with our Desktop Wallet and Explorer. Phaeton continually strives to improve our technology to ensure the user experience is of the uttermost importance when developing any Phaetons Technology Products.

Below are the Improvisations over the previous Wallet Build:

1. The Wallet is facilitated with the Add Network feature to add custom RPC Networks on the phaeton desktop wallet. It is accessible through the dropdown provided in the Network Toggle button present at the top right corner of the screen in the main components of the desktop application.
2. Facility to edit network details is also provided in the Network Toggle button Dropdown; a user may edit or delete any network except the Phaeton’s TestNet and MainNet Networks.
3. Major pagination updates are carried throughout the app, resolving issues like odd page numbers on click spamming, loader malfunctioning, problem viewing data back and forth, etc. In addition, significant code changes are carried out while maintaining UI Integrity.
4. A Column Has been added depicting the Transaction Type on the Transactions page in the explorer section of the Wallet.
5. A column for Nonce has been added to the Transactions and Delegates components in the Wallet’s Explorer section.
6. Detailed components of the explorer section and search results now have a static label in the top right corner of the screen showing the current network name.
7. The Transaction details modal now has a redirect button to view the exact transaction details in Phaeton’s Web Explorer.
8. Configuration function is developed in the code to force patch application’s security and architecture updates into the user’s system.
9. Option to fetch Unvote height through Transaction ID is provided in the unlock feature of the Wallet. It will ease the user in getting and automatically entering unvote height in the unlock modal to process the transaction.
10. Seed phrase suggestions for vacant phrases are now being displayed shuffled at the verify Seed Phrase Page.
11. Validations are improved in the Search Functionality, Create Account Page and significant components processing transactions throughout the application.
12. Users are advised to remove their accounts and re-add them to enhance security benefits.
13. Significant UI improvements and functionality improvements are carried out throughout the app, like (symmetry among icons for the same functionality, changed error messages, added toast warnings etc.).
14. Bug Fixes and Improvements.

PHAETON’S WEB EXPLORER v1.0.2 RELEASE NOTES:

1. Major pagination updates are carried throughout Explorer, resolving issues like odd page numbers on click spamming, loader malfunctioning, problem viewing data back and forth, etc. In addition, significant code changes are carried out while maintaining UI Integrity.
2. A Column Has been added depicting the Transaction Type on the Transactions page in the Explorer.
3. A Nonce is added to the complex components of Transactions and Delegates in the Explorer.
4. Detailed components of the Explorer and Search results now have a static label in the top right corner of the screen showing the current network name.
5. Major code level restructuring is carried out to prioritise network selection. It has been achieved by overriding current Network settings on the device through URL containing Network parameters, displaying error messages in case of invalid URLs, and adding Network Parameters in case of significant redirections or Explorer’s Web viewing experience.
6. Configuration function is developed in the code to force patch Explorer’s security and architecture updates into the user’s system for the current network settings. It is achieved without compromising the user’s privacy or using cookies.
7. Significant UI improvements and functionality improvements are carried out throughout the app. For example, Explorer now has a fully responsive UI adjustable to almost every screen size device, symmetry among icons for the same functionality, changed error messages, added toast warnings, etc.
8. Bug Fixes and Improvements.
