PHAETON NETWORKS TO DEPLOY EIGHT ISO MODULAR DATACENTRES AT PHAETON ENERGY’S SOLAR FARMS.

The team at Phaeton Networks have been working closely with its sister silo Phaeton Energy, an integrated renewable energy ecosystem. Phaeton Energy has been focusing in securing regional land to develop micro-grid solar farms to provide power to local communities with 24-hour electrical supply. While undertaking this task, Phaeton Energy will integrate Phaeton Networks’ data centres as part of its ecosystem. The data centres to be deployed are ISO Data centres based on international sea container sizes. They are an alternative to OMD centres which are solar wrapped and smaller in scale. ISO Data centres are be powered predominantly by Phaeton Energy’s solar farms together with backup battery storage.

Why use ISO Sea Containers for Data Centres?

There are significant benefits in using sea containers for data centres; these include:

  • Sea containers has been established for several decades and have proven that they have structural integrity and are easily transported to any location
  • They are dustproof, waterproof, and shock-resistant; they are suitable for harsh environments such as outdoors or underused spaces such as parking garages.
  • Being modular, they can be stacked or added to should larger data centres be required. Also, they match Phaeton’s backup battery solution, which is housed in sea containers.

How will an ISO Data Centre be constructed?

K-Star, a leading brand in power electronics and new energy products are manufacturing the external structure, while Phaeton Networks’ staff will provide and install the required servers, link to satellites and remote management and security systems.

Where are they being deployed?

ISO Data Centres will be deployed on all Phaeton Energy’s Community Embedded Network Solar Farms. The first of these will be:

When Water Isn’t a Renewable Resource

A map of the continental United States, showing % change of precipitation as a colorscheme across the map. The majority of the map shows increases in precipitation, with heavy increases over the California central valley, the northern plains, the gulf coast, and New England. There are also several regions of decreased precipitation, localized around the southern east coast, the Rocky Mountains and the deserts of the southwest.
