We are excited to announce that then new Linux, Windows, and Mac Builds of Phaeton Desktop Application (otherwise referred to as Wallet), has now been released in both IOS and Android mobile wallets.
Technology Improvisations over previous build/Release Notes:
1.) The Wallet is facilitated with the Phaeton Dapp Connect (Powered by Wallet Connect v2.0) functionality to connect with the Decentralised applications in the ecosystem and is accessible through the side navigation panel,
->(1.1) It’s a two tabbed component with tabs for URI and Sessions.
->(1.2) The URI from the Dapp has to be submitted in the URI input field of the component to start the process of establishing connection between the Dapp and the Wallet.
->(1.3) The methods available for the users to interact with are Personal sign, Custom send Transaction along with an internal method of requesting acknowledgements.
->(1.4) The second tab of Sessions — The User will be able to view all the connected Dapps and active connections in this panel.
->(1.5) There is a Clear All Sessions button present on the top of the sessions table — Account owners may use it to clear all the sessions present in the wallet in a single click.
->(1.6) To delete an individual session a user may use the Delete Session button present in the last column of the row containing session’s information.
->(1.7) This is a Beta release of the Dapp Connect functionality.
->(1.8) The user is instructed to open the Dapp connect component beforehand on the wallet before initiating any transaction from the Dapp for a previously existing connection.
2.) Functionality to Transfer NFTs is further improved with functional improvements (additional validations, null checks, error handling) and UI Improvements as well.
3.) The NFT Panel present on the dashboard is further improved with changes in the UI, Modifications in NFT Detail component accessible through the i(info) button present for every distinct NFT.
4.) NFT’s details have been modified with the addition of some more data fields (Total mintable supply, value, attributes etc.) to display all the data accurately and in an easy-to-read manner.
5.) Clymene Networks (Main-Net and Test-Net) are added to the Phaeton Wallet and will be displayed alongside the principal networks and can be toggled through the Network Toggle button present in the top-right corner of the wallet dashboard.
6.) Custom RPC Feature has been modified with major internal changes and some visible changes that includes — Addition of input field for Network’s Token Name (4 characters) while adding a network.
7.) The Address’s Prefix for an account will now be displayed, treated, and parsed with respect to the network,
->(7.1) Additional checks are imposed in the phaeton service to make sure only the address specific to the network is allowed.
->(7.2) All the input fields for the account’s address are now added with validations i.e. only the address specific to the selected network in the wallet will be allowed.
8.) Support for Clymene chain is added to the inbuilt explorer in the wallet and is improved to display data for transactions on the Clymene Network.
9.) Bug Fixes and Improvements (Improved areas include Toast Displays, API calling functions, Form Validations, UI Responsiveness, added illustrations etc.).
Additional improvements that are currently begin planned.
1) Implementation of Data Sharding
Sharding is a very important concept that helps the system to keep data in different resources according to the sharding process. The word “Shard” means “a small part of a whole.” Hence Sharding means dividing a larger part into smaller parts. In DBMS, Sharding is a type of DataBase partitioning in which a large database is divided or partitioned into smaller data and different nodes. These shards are not only smaller, but also faster and hence easily manageable.
2) Integration with Biometric devices for Face Matching
Biometric verifying the face of the user who is uploading the document with the picture in the identity card uploaded using some machine learning algorithms.
Facial recognition is a way of identifying or confirming an individual’s identity using their face. Phaeton’s facial recognition systems can be used to identify people in photos, videos, or in real-time.
Phaeton facial recognition is a category of biometric security to increase the authenticity of the user’s identity. Other forms of biometric software include voice recognition, fingerprint recognition, and eye retina or iris recognition. The additional technology enhances used for security through Phaetons Blockchain DLT technology. This adds a layer of certainty to documents that are submitted and are in possession of the user.
